After many years of perfecting his culinary expertise, Orobosa realized that he had developed a passion for the 'American Dream,' and he opened his own Lowcountry Café in October of 2004 in Pawleys Island.  Orobosa's Lowcountry Café is open for lunch and dinner and offers a diverse menu of Orobosa's best dishes including selections of beef, veal, chicken, fish and seafood.  His crab cakes are assuredly his specialty of the house and always in demand.  The atmosphere is casual and inviting with a variety of music always filling the restaurant.  An eclectic array of folk art adorns the café along with pictures of Orobosa's beloved mother whom he loves to share childhood stories about.  Shortly after he opened his place, Orobosa realized that he would need more room to accommodate the crowds of faithful diners.  He added a large screened porch onto the front of his restaurant and created an outdoor grill and dining/picnic area he fondly calls the Waga Waga Shack.  He offers professional catering services as well and can provide hot and cold hors d'oeuvres, buffet or a la carte style lunches and dinners, carving and pasta stations, and desserts.  Chef Orobosa's attention to quality and detail combined with his culinary wizardry and true love of cooking make his café a shining star amongst the many restaurants to choose from in the Grand Strand area.
